Stayed in mid Oct’23 for an unplanned 3D2N here and I am still reminiscing the stay, the memories and all the wonderful people I met in this small and cosy hostel.
Big big thanks to Fuqi Lead for connecting people all around the world. If it’s not him, I’d not met a Malaysian who now became a dear friend to me.
And thank you too for letting us to join in the mini farewell party. I am both thankful and grateful to be welcomed by this warm and big family here…….and also amazed by how this little place connects people from all over the world.
All in all, terima kasih (thank you in Malay) for all the wonderful and beautiful memories, Fuqi! Looking forward to my next visit!
p.s. Thank you so so much too to one of the staffs, Elena for staying late with us and being our friendly guide to the delicious beef soup etc……..when you don’t have to and still have to work the next day.
Rooms: Generally very clean, neat and quiet. I also love how they organise female only washrooms on a level and mixed gender sharing washrooms on a level…….such thoughtful arrangement deserve a brownie point!
Nearby activities: There’s plenty! From temple visits, to artistic streets find, to local marketplace that is flooded with various delicacies, to all time fav dessert place……….and if you love hanging at a small and cosy bar, there is one namely Goin which is near Fuqi worth visiting! Note that they close at 11pm so do drop by before that.
Safety: The hostel is well equipped with digital lock at the entrance as well as at each bedroom. They do provide lockers for each bedding to secure your personal belongings.
Walkability: Although the hostel is a 20 minutes walk from the train station, the location being the centre is strategically situated to everywhere - 7 eleven, local marketplace, cafes etc. Only some spots such as the beach would require a ride, apart from that, get a companion and walk together. I’m sure you’d find the places you wanna explore is not that far after all!
Food & drinks: There are various popular local delicacy worth trying nearby, such as the unagi fry noodles and also desserts such as puding and ice cream……in case you may not know where to start from, can always get recommendations from the staff, I’m sure they will be happy to help.
Noteworthy details: If you’re looking for a place for a short stay, I’d say there could be plenty in Tainan. However if you are looking for a place to rest and connect, I’d definitely recommend this hostel.
