New facilities with poor services

This hotel started around 4 months ago therefore everything is new and the price is good. Gym: Too new that the TV in the gym room cannot be turned on and water is not available unless you request, also there is no towel available (bring a towel from your room), plus one more thing about the gym: warning!!! Tons of mosquitoes! Other than that, gym facilities are all good. Room: descents in relation to furnitures, lights and others Service: It really depends on who you are dealing with, limited people are understandable, willing to help with a smile and nice. Others are not flexible and not willing help. Such as: when i visited the gym for the first time, there were 3 staffs there chatting and seating around the weight area and when i asked about towel and TV, their answers were ‘no towel available and TV is not working’ but if you talk to the people at the reception (once again, it depends on who you meet), they said they can bring the remote and have the TV turned on but need to bring the remote back to the reception at the lobby once done. When i checkin with my friends at around 12pm, they said we have to wait until the checkin time (i think its 3pm) and i asked if there is no room available? The lady said but our checkin time is 3pm then i replied from my experience, other hotels will provide a room for their customers if there are rooms available as they will try to accommodate. Then they said no room is available. Surprisingly, while we were trying to figure where to eat (within 5 to 10 mins) they indicated my room is ready that i can move in. (Having said that each booking has a plastic folder at the reception and when they take it out, the designated room key card (each room has 2 key cards only and no extra can be made) is in the folder already. Therefore, from my observation, the room was available but they want to stick with the 3pm checkin time instead of being flexible with the customers need. Also, i have tried to request for a late checkout (extra 30 mins as their checkout time is 12pm); but they said it is a straight policy. Probably i expect too much from this hotel but i do thing being flexible is a good thing as the customers will feel they do ‘care’ or if the request cannot be accommodated, explain the situation instead of stating the ‘Policies’.
